Avadhoot Gupte



Avadhoot Gupte is a singer from Mumbai, India. His native place is Bhor, Maharashtra.

Sagarika Music launched him as a singer-cum-composer in Marathi album Paus. Then came the Indi-pop album Aika Dajiba for debutante female singer Vaishali Samant.

Avadhoot's career as a singer took off when he won the national level competition of TVS Saregama. Since then he has lent his voice to Hindi and Marathi songs. Avadhoot arranged a number of remixes albums.

His popular debut album came in 2003 and was titled Meri Madhubala.

He was one of the judges at a Marathi song competition "SA RE GA MA PA Little Champions" on Zee Marathi along with Vaishali Samant. The show was hosted by Pallavi Joshi. He is a singer who started off his singing career as a winner at Ss re ga ma on ztv. He is a composer, Lyricist and has arranged music for some albums.

During his stint as a judge on marathi sa re ga ma pa lil' champs he made it a point to use some extremely witty and catchy jargons to explain the little participants about their shortcomings,so as not to run them down but instead encourage them.This was widely appreciated and his clever interpretation and treatment of paticipants soon caught attention with marathi viewers,who lauded his efforts.

He also produced and directed a Marathi film, 'Zenda',.
He has won RAJARSHEE SHAHU GAURAV PURSKAR on 7th Feb, 2010.

Avadhoot started his career as a composer in the year 2002, when he composed a basic album of 8 songs on the theme of Rain (Marathi Title "Paus"). Avadhoot shot into fame instantly with this album and received the "Alpha Gaurav Puraskar" for the Best Composer 2002 for this album.

His second album as a composer was an Indi-Pop album called "Aika Dajiba" which is considered to be a landmark in the field of Indian Pop Music.

"Aika Dajiba" started the trend of Hindi pop songs with a Marathi punch line. This song received unparalleled response from audiences of all ages worldwide.

This album was followed with yet another superhit album “Meri Madhubala” which launched him as a pop singer.

Thus from the first album he composed, to his latest ("Mera Dadla"), Avadhoot has an excellent track record of hits in an extremely short span of two years. In short this young composer has started setting trends in the Indian music scene with his creativity and ability to experiment with different kinds of music. His study of Indian folk music coupled with his awareness of the latest international music trends, gives his music a unique fresh quality.


LYRICIST

Essentially a composer, Avadhoot started writing songs only as a hobby. But the simplicity and smooth flow of his lyrics got such a tremendous response from audiences that he found himself writing the lyrics for most of his compositions. From the foot tapping fun songs like ‘Aika Dajiba’, ‘Meri Madhubala’, ‘Halu Halu Chaal’ to romantic songs like ‘Koi Ho’ and ‘Kabhi Gehere Samunder’ right up to sentimental numbers like ‘Din Pareshan’, ‘Saila’ and ‘Piya Lage Na Jiya’; Avadhoot writes songs of different moods with equal amount of ease and expertise.

Singer

Avadhoot's career as a singer started when he won the national level competition of "TVS- Sa Re Ga Ma" in the year 1996. Since then he has lent his voice to various basic and film songs.

Avadhoot has also performed numerous live shows.

Avadhoot's ability as a performer has been applauded by audiences worldwide. He creates the rapport with the audience within a very short span of time whenever he steps on the stage.

His latest album "Dil Se Maratha Hai' became a run away hit with the Super hit track "Jai Jai Maharashtra". His versatility as a singer is amply evident, when he renders fun and foot tapping numbers like "Meri Madhubala" and "Halu Halu Chaal" with equal ease as serious numbers like "Salam-E-Ishq"(Remix) and "Din Pareshan". In "Jai Jai Maharashtra" he does justice to the track by rendering the song with a rock feel.

Thus as a singer Avadhoot has the capacity to mold his voice to the requirement and mood of the composition/lyrics or track as the case may be.

Avadhoot's talent doesn't end at composing, song writing and singing. He has also proved his mettle as an arranger. From soft instrumental to remixes, Avadhoot has done it all and with the same amount of creativity and expertise.
