Sant Namdev (1995)

Movie produced in 1991 published in 1995. The film was directed by Yashvant Pethkar, whose career started with non-religious hindi cinema in 1947. Pethkar created his 1st Marathi movie regarding Pandharpur's deities in 1951, Vitthal Rakhumai. His greatest-received movie was Keechaka Vadha, a retelling of a famous Mahabharata vignette (The Slaying of Keechaka, 1959). He kept on making marathi as well as hindi Movies, popularly commercial as well as devotional, until mid-1970S . Unfortunately Pethkar expired before the release of the Sant Namdev movie.
